Чтобы сделать отрицательное предложение в прошедшем времени, используем did not – [dɪd nɒt] – не. Краткая форма: didn’t – [ˈdɪdnt] – не.
После did not / didn’t глагол ставится в начальную форму без окончания -ed:
enjoyed → did not enjoy – [ɪnˈdʒɔɪd → dɪd nɒt ɪnˈdʒɔɪ] – понравилось → не понравилось;
showed → did not show – [ʃəʊd → dɪd nɒt ʃəʊ] – показал → не показал;
lived → did not live – [lɪvd → dɪd nɒt lɪv] – жил → не жил;
skated → did not skate – [ˈskeɪtɪd → dɪd nɒt skeɪt] – катался → не катался;
opened → did not open – [ˈəʊpənd → dɪd nɒt ˈəʊpən] – открыл → не открыл.
6. Прочитай текст и скажи, чего дети не делали второго июня из того, что они делали третьего, и почему.
Yesterday was the 3rd of June. It was Sunday. The weather was wonderful. It was sunny and dry outside. Boys and girls played in the parks and squares. A lot of them walked in the streets with their pet dogs. They visited cafés, shops, markets with their mothers and fathers. Some of them enjoyed reading books on the benches under the green trees. Some children wanted to ride their bikes and scooters.
